Bombers Loose Ring Lock Up is a single-jointed loose ring snaffle that allows for direct contact and immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. 10 mm

This bit sits naturally and comfortably in the horse’s mouth whilst reducing tongue pressure. The Loose Ring Lock Up mouthpiece consists of a lock action lozenge that eliminates the ‘nut cracker’ effect of many other conventional snaffles. Like all other Bombers bits, the Loose Ring Lock Up bit is made of sweet iron and brass to promote salivation in the horse.

The length and width of the bit is specified in millimetres. 

Bomber’s philosophy is that bits often put pressure on the tongue resulting in the horse resisting the bit which in turn, results in poorer communication between horse and rider. In order to improve communications, increase control and stop the horse to resist the bit, the pressure on its tongue must be removed. By distributing the pressure across a larger area of the mouth, the pressure is reduced and the horse starts to resist less. This is the concept behind the Bombers bits that we see on the market today.
