This girth is ideal for cold-backed horses or with a hard-to-fit saddle conformation.

This girth was developed in cooperation with a major textile company in France for the purpose of allowing freedom of movement for the horse while keeping the saddle securely in place. The special patented material sewn into the girth expands to make the horse more comfortable with easier breathing and greater movement across its shoulders and chest.

A rigid girth affects the respiratory function and compresses the muscles, thus reducing the blood flow and oxygen supply. The Tixerant Comfort Girth is radical in its simplicity, incorporating a wide centre section of a technical material from Gibaud (a medical textile company) that offers a high capacity elongation and allows for the horse’s ribs to expand and contract without restriction. This unique elastic panel covers a much larger area of the horse’s belly which reduces pressure and eliminates the risk of pinching.
