Instead, the Eggbutt Elliptical bit makes the horse relax and release pressure from the bit, while the firm bit rings prevent the horse from being pinched in the corners of the mouth or the bit sliding through the mouth.

Bomber’s philosophy is that the bit that pressure gives leads to resistance and resistance leads to poorer communication and lack of control. To increase control, you need to remove the resistance. You remove the resistance by removing or reducing the pressure. You do this by distributing the pressure over a larger surface, in a way the pressure is reduced or experienced more gently.
